Basso Bass called the crew to a warehouse. Basso had a black eye. He wanted the crew to steal the Red sashes war treasury and offered a 1/3 cut. Extra cash was negotiated for any red sash deaths. The Red sashes base was in the Sword academy, a mansion which had been converted into a training school. The Red sashes were involved in gambling and frequented the Sprogs gambling den which specialised in dice games. The crew went to sprogs and talked to Kobb. All the Red sashes wore red sashes on their arms, making them easy to identify. Kobb was willing to provide information about the Red sashes and Sword school if his gambling debt was paid off. Weaver scouted the mansion and found there was 3 entrances. It was near a dock and a boat was moored to the dock. There was a skylight on the roof of the building and it was near a park. To the west there was a series of buildings which were close to roof of mansion. A guard was on the roof, and there was men near the dock selling potion bottles.
When Kobbs debt was paid off he provided some information. Mylira Clef was the leader of the Red sashes and they were building up to take out the Lampblacks. Their stash was in the top floor of the mansion and was guarded by the ghost Ramira. When he got drunk he divulged the password. The original architect of the mansion drowned in Tanglefoot and was now a ghost there. The Sword academy was always guarded by at least six of their elite.
The crew chatted to someone called Phin in a bar in Tanglefoot. He said he had seen a ghost with a briefcase near the leviathan hulk on his way home. The crew went there and found the ghost, Finbar talked to it. The ghosts name was Adric. He had been murdered by a member of the bluecoats, an inspector Teslan who worked for the governor. Adric would provide information about the mansion if the crew discredited or killed Teslan. Teslan was often found hanging round the docks gathering protection money. Weaver spoke with his contact in the bluecoats. He found everyone feared her and no one respected her. She liked spark and the rumours were she obtained it from a dealer called Avrik who lived in Barrowcleft.
Finbar obtained some ectoplasm and Narsissus made up some spark which she mixed with drown powder. The crew then hid it in a shed and sent an anonymous tipoff to Teslan that a stash of Spark could be found there. The crew heard the next day that Teslan had been suspended after taking drugs and going crazy. Adric was pleased and gave the crew blueprints of the mansion. They showed a reinforced room on the top floor.
The crew went on the heist. They accessed the roof of the Sword academy from an adjacent building. Weaver surprised and killed the guard on the roof. The skylight was steamed up from the inside. Narsissus opened the skylight slightly. The room below was full of dangerous looking flora. The crew carefully lowered themselves into the room and crept past the plants. There was a corridor beyond with the strong room at the far end. The corridor had spyholes in the walls. Weaver crept down the corridor. He found the strong room was full of dense mist. A mechanical arm with a crystal lens was attached to the ceiling.
A ghost appeared out of the mist and asked for the password. Weaver gave it the password from Kobb. He talked with the ghost and found it had been bound by Sister thorn at Gaddock station. She worked for the deadlands scavenger gang. The ghost said it could only be freed if she died. The crew took the money and left quickly.
